How We Use Your Data

Transparent data practices for IQ+ Beta

What We Collect

IQ+ Beta is designed to be as privacy-preserving as possible. You can take the full assessment with no account and no personal information required.

Assessment Data (everyone)

  • Your written responses to cognitive tasks
  • Calculated domain scores and Cognitive Signature Index
  • Number of tasks completed
  • An anonymous session identifier (random string, no name attached)

Account Data (optional)

  • Your email address, only if you choose to save your results by creating an account
  • A record linking your email to your past assessment results
  • No password is ever stored; we use a one-time sign-in link sent to your inbox

Technical Data

  • Browser type (for compatibility)
  • Page visit timestamps
  • Referrer URL (where you came from)

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run IQ+ Beta. Where your data is involved, we list them here:

OpenAI (AI Scoring)

Your written responses to each task are sent to OpenAI's API for automated scoring. OpenAI processes this text to evaluate the quality of your answers and return a score. Your responses are not linked to your name or email when sent; only an anonymous session identifier is used. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.

Resend (Email Delivery)

If you request a sign-in link, your email address is passed to Resend solely to deliver that email. Resend's privacy policy applies: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

What We DON'T Do

We never require your name, phone number, or any identifier to take the test
No location or address information is collected
No payment or financial information
We never sell your data to advertisers or third parties
We never share identifiable data with researchers, only anonymous, aggregated patterns
No photos, videos, or biometric data

How We Use Your Data

Delivering Your Results

Your responses are scored by our AI system to produce your Cognitive Signature Index and domain breakdown.

Saving Your Progress (account holders only)

If you create an account, your past results are stored and linked to your email so you can view them anytime.

Research & Improvement

We analyse anonymous, aggregated assessment data to understand cognitive patterns and improve our scoring algorithms. Individual responses are never reviewed by Spark Space staff in identifiable form.

Algorithm Calibration

Aggregate response patterns help us establish baseline averages and make the assessment fairer over time.

Your Privacy Rights

Anonymous by Default

No account is ever required. Without an account, no personal identifier is associated with your results.

Secure Storage

All data is stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database. We do not expose individual responses through any public interface.

Right to Deletion

If you have an account and would like your email address and result history deleted, contact us at hello@sparkspace.info and we will remove it within 30 days.

Right to Access

Account holders can view all their saved results in the My Results section. To request a full export, email us.

Data Retention

Anonymous assessment data (no email attached) is retained indefinitely for research purposes. If you create an account, your email and linked results are retained until you request deletion. Sign-in links expire after 30 minutes and are then invalidated.
